This morning I read an article on teacher that was sentenced to prison. The teachers name is Eric Standefer. He was charged on child pornography. About 2 years ago, the FBI rated his house and he destroyed his laptop. Mr. Standefer was a middle school teacher who taught at Farb Middle school in Tierrasanta. Even though Mr. Standefer smashed his laptop into little pieces, authorities were still able to get images and movies on the child pornography. In the computer that authorities were able to retrieve they found more than 3,500 pictures and about 60 movies. A federal judge sentenced him to 5 years and 10 months in prison.
I think that its getting pretty crazy with this child pornography. I mean because most of the people that are getting charged for these kind of crimes are all mostly teachers. Schools should start hiring honest and non perverted teachers.
An interesting fact that I read was that even though this teacher was not acting in any of these child pornography’s he is still getting more than 5 years for watching them.
In the Union-Tribune today, I read about a teacher sentenced to prison for child pornography found on computer. Eric Standefer ,a middle school teacher, who taught music and history for a dozen years face prison time. The teacher smashed his laptop to pieces when FBI agents arrived at his Rolando home nearly two years ago. They were able to find more than 3,500 images and 60 movies involving children in sexual situations from another home computer. Yesterday, a federal judge ordered Standefer to serve five years and 10 months in prison. I think he should get more time for child pornography; that’s not right and it shows that even teachers in the world have real life problems. I could understand if he was watching adult pornography, that would be understandable, but now he is facing prison time.
Today I read about a man 48, stabbed during robbery attempt. A 48 year old man who was walking in city heights was stabbed during an attempted robbery just before midnight on Sunday. The victim was walking on Altadena Avenue near El Cajon boulevard. When he was confronted by two men and they demanded him for money and they started to grab his pockets and then the victim said that he did not have any money. A fight then started and the taller of the robbers punched the victim he tried to run and then the other robber stabbed the victim five times in the back and in the leg. Police later caught one of the suspects who was identified by the victim.
Interesting Facts- The robber that was caught is 21 and was booked in jail on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and of being under the influence of drugs.
My Opinion- I think that was scandalous what the robbers did and they should have to do some time for what they did.
Since most people who work in front of the computer complain about headaches and eye fatigue so a study was made to see if anything could be done to prevent all of that. A group of engineers discovered a new type of glasses that would help prevent what is commonly known as digital eye fatigue or computer vision syndrome. The tiredness is not limited to computer users but it extends to all users that sit in front of any screen for hours on end. The interesting part of these new glasses is that the technology they have in order to keep your eye safe is really advanced and the nice thing is that apart from helpful the glasses are also stylish. The glass is tinted yellow which reflects blue light making the image sharper to prevent eye fatigue. All in all the glasses seem like a pretty good buy.
Today I read a article about a 44 year old man who was implicate getting into his van in san Ysidro and got stabbed several times for unknown reasons. The victims hypothesis was on seaward avenue, just near by Cypress drive about 1:30 p.m. when the attacker emerged and stabbed him in the left elbow and right shoulder. The victim was described as a light skinned Latino about 18 years old and about 5feet 6 inches.

- The article that I read today was about peppers. Federal inspectors at U.S. border crossings repeatedly turned back shipments of peppers. It was HYPOTHESIZED that they were filthy and disease ridden. These pepper shipments EMERGED from Mexico. This was months before a salmonella outbreak that sickened 1400 people. The out break was finally IMPLICATED on Mexican chilies. Since Mexican peppers had not been a problem before there was no further action taken. Research shows that peppers and chilies were consistently the top Mexican crop rejected by border inspectors. Since January 88 shipments of fresh and dried chilies were rejected. Ten percent were contaminated with salmonella.
- In think that this is an interesting article. One interesting thing that I learned is that in the past year 8 percent of the 158 intercepted shipments of fresh and dried chilies had salmonella.
Today in the union tribune, I read that there are no ties in Olympic gymnastics. Nastia Liukin learned the hard way yesterday (san Diego time) in the uneven bars, losing a gold medal tiebreaker to china’s He Kexin before admissions of confusion over rules, allegations of unfair judging and questions about gymnasts ages.
I think that Nastia Liukin should have won or at least the girl from Romania because the little girl who got gold is obviously not 16 she looks 12 And I think those Chinese people who were judging fixed the whole thing because those other girls were obviously better than her anyways.
Today I read about a situation that has to do with running back LaDainian Tomlinson. He was said to be like having another coach out on the field because of the way he plays. The coaches are also saying this because he got so much experience in the years that he has actually played in. LaDainian is so much like a coach out on the field because of the way he knows every play since his rookie years. These statements were said by coach Ollie Wilson and were said in a very good way.
This article was very interesting especially how they talk about how L.T. is an awesome football player.
The reason this interested me was the title of this article which was “Professor LT giving Bolts backs savvy education”.
This was what I read today in the newspaper.
Fact: I read that LT is much more polished and so much more aware.
