Today in the union tribune, I read that The action comedy Tropic Thunder weathered a rush of new movies to remain No. 1 for a second-straight weekend with $16.1 million in ticket sales, according to studio estimates Sunday. The Paramount-DreamWorks release starring Ben Stiller, Robert Downey Jr. and Jack Black as actors caught up in real battle while shooting a war movie raised its 12-day total to $65.7 million. Tropic Thunder EMERGED just ahead of Sony's campus comedy The House Bunny, which debuted in second place with $15.1 million. The House Bunny stars Anna Faris as an ostracized Playboy bunny who becomes den mother to a sorority of campus misfits. Universal's Death Race an update of 1975's Death Race 2000, with Jason Statham starring as a driver in a kill-or-be-killed auto race of the future opened at No. 3 with $12.3 million. The weekend's other new wide releases, Ice Cube's sports drama The Longshots and Rainn Wilson's music comedy The Rocker, opened weakly.
I IMPLICATED that tropic thunder was going to funny but the stupid retards that tried to protest the movie because of the skit in the movie simple jack was hilarious. Not only that but tropic thunder is still No. 1 in the box office still. I Also hypothesized that it would still be No. 1.
In today's newspaper I read about the same guy I wrote before but this time about his sentence, a federal jury on Friday implicate Joseph Edward Duncan III eligible for the death penalty for the 2005 kidnapping, torture and murder of a 9-year-old Idaho boy.
The verdict in the horrific case came after a week and a half of gruesome testimony and just two hours of deliberation.
The 9-year-old's father, Steven Groene, said he was pleased with the ruling and looking forward to the case being over. When the hearing resumes next week, jurors must decide whether Duncan should be executed.
Duncan, who has emerge as his own attorney, will have the chance to argue instead for life in prison without the possibility of parole. The jury's sentencing recommendation is binding on U.S. District Judge Edward Lodge.
Duncan didn't react to the verdict. I think that they should give him life in prison so he suffers like his victims. my hypothesis in this case is that I do not know why are they even taking it to trial. the most important thing I think was that he doesn't really even looks like he cares.
Today I read eight days before Christmas 2005 Angela Bernard came home from a night of drinking and found her son propped up in bed dead. Brandon McClure was dead at a shocking 28 pounds. Bernard and her boyfriend told police that he was so severely disabled and that explained his shrunken frame. The house was neat and organized with plenty of food. Authorities had eventually pieced together that what had happened their findings not only implicated his mother but the county’s entire child welfare system. His disability did not kill him he starved to death. Bernard was sentenced to 9 years in prison for her sons death.
Interesting Facts- There were 17 child welfare services investigating during his short life each of the cases was closed after caseworkers decided that he wasn’t in imminent danger.
My Opinion- I think that was wrong to starve your child to death and she deserves the time she got.
In today’s paper I learned that Sen. Joseph Biden a two time presidential candidate who has collected substantial foreign policy credentials in his three decades in the senate, will be announced this morning as Sen. Barack Obama’s running mate.
Obama Announced his decision on his Web site today and moments later sent a tex message to supporters. “Barack has chosen Senator Joe Biden to be our VP nominee,“ the tex message said.
In my opinion I think it’s cool that Sen. Joe Biden is going to be Obama’s running mate if that’s what Barack wants then so be it. The hypothesis is that Sen. Joe will be Obama’s mate but some people implicate Sen. Joe for being a bad senator but Obama emerged from all the bad talk about him a stronger person in his carrier.
The article I read this morning was about a child named Brandon McClure who was only 14 years old when he died. Brandon was a severely disabled child. His mother Angela Bernard had gone put to drink with her boyfriend the night of her sons death. Hypothesis say that Brandon starved to death. Two employees from the welfare system were fired because they seemed to implicate with Brandon’s death. When Angela found Brandon that night in his bed he was cold and shockingly frail. He weight only 28 pounds at the time of his death. In November Angela was sentenced to 9 years in jail for the death of her son.
I think that the time that Angela got in jail is simply not enough for her child’s death. She was emerged in the death because he starved to death which is simply her fault because just like she gets hungry her son did as well. I hope that a lot of women who have disabled children learn something from this because its sad and wrong.
An interesting fact that I read in the article was that Brandon’s death was tragic and preventable, if not by his own mother, then certainly by those in charge of monitoring his welfare.
