In the Union-Tribune I read about federal police raided tourist pharmacies in Tijuana. About 250 federal agents occupied a four-block area of the Avenida Revolucion tourist district for several hours yesterday searching for drugs: neither cocaine, nor heroin nor marijuana, but medications being sold illegally. The agents were checking Tijuana pharmacies for falsely labeled medications and controlled substances being sold without prescriptions. I don't think nothing is wrong with selling Over the Counter drugs illegaly, because I went to Tj to purchase some and I got it for a cheap price.

Today I read about a worker who was grabbed at her home and told to open the jewelry store. A jewelry store employee and her 3 year old daughter were taken from their home early yesterday by men who forced the woman to open the store then robbed the place. The men who wore masks and gloves ransacked the woman's house first then took the lady and her daughter to open the store.
Interesting Facts- The shop was the joyeria jewelry shop.
My Opinion- I think that would be scary to get your house robbed then you get kidnapped and have to open the shop for someone I think when they catch the people they should do some time.

Today in the union tribune I read an article about how CVS is going to buy longs drugs in $2.7 billion deal. The longs stores in the U.S. will be converted to the CVS brand in 2009, while sites in Hawaii will retain the longs name for the foreseeable future. After the acquisitions is complete CVS will operate 6,800 drug stores in 41 states and the district of Columbia. CVS and its main competitor Walgreen have been expanding beyond the traditional drugstore business in recent years to reap more of the money spent on areas of health care by aging U.S. population. CVS said Longs substantial presence in Southern Cali will provide a foundation for significant future growth in the state.

Today in the union tribune, I read that John Lennon's killer, Mark David Chapman, was denied parole for the fifth time Tuesday. The New York State Division of Parole issued a release saying Chapman's request was denied "due to concern for the public safety and welfare. Chapman, 53, is serving a sentence of 20 years to life in prison for shooting to death the former Beatle outside his New York City apartment on December 8, 1980. The killer has served 24 years of his sentence at the maximum-security Attica Correctional Facility and was previously turned down by the New York State division of parole in 2000, 2002, 2004 and 2006. Chapman is held in a building with other prisoners who are not considered to pose a threat to him, according to officials with the state Department of Correctional Services. He has his own prison cell but spends most of his day outside the cell working on housekeeping and in the library. Yoko Ono, Lennon's widow, in previous years has submitted a letter requesting that Chapman be denied parole. Calls Tuesday to Ono's legal representative have not been returned. Fifty letters and a petition signed by almost 1,100 people were submitted objecting to releasing Chapman, said Division of Parole spokeswoman Heather Groll. Only three letters were submitted appealing for Chapman's release. The next time Chapman can apply for parole is in August 2010.
I hope he stays in there for ending the life of such a great man. I hope he never gets out and he gets tortured in prison. I hope he fries in hell.

The article I read this morning was about woman who was in court yesterday describing the death of her homeless friend who was killed by her ex boyfriend. She was at a bar on September 5th the day she met her homeless friend. She had seen him around a lot outside that bar because the man often slept outside. The homeless mans name was Thomas Benjamin. People knew him as “Gentle Ben” because he was such a nice guy. His name is Jeremy John Lutz and he was 29 at the time I believe. Jeremy was a very jealous boyfriend and he could not stand seeing the woman with any other guy no matter who it was. The night that Jeremy killed Ben, the woman and Ben were parked near a freeway eating a double cheeseburger when Jeremy arrived and started beating Ben. So Ben and the woman put the window up that’s when Jeremy pulled out a gun and started shooting. The woman’s name for some reason was not given.
I believe that now in days there is a lot of crazy people who kill other people for some dumb reasons. I hope that Jeremy gets a good sentence that will make him pay for what he did to innocent Ben. I feel bad for the woman especially since Jeremy her ex boyfriend is the father of 2 of her children.
An interesting fact that I read was that after Jeremy killed Ben he kidnapped the woman and rapped her.

“Russia, Georgia leaders OK pullback plan”
►Today I read on the newspaper that The presidents of Georgia and Russia agreed early this morning on a framework that could end the war that flared up here nearly a week ago, after Russia reasserted its traditional dominance of the region. Declaring that “the aggressor has been punished,” Russian President Dmitri Medvedev announced early yesterday that Russia would stop its campaign. Russian airstrikes continued during the day, however, and antagonisms seethed on both sides. By 2 a.m. today, Medvedev and his Georgian counterpart, Mikhail Saakashvili, had agreed to a plan that would withdraw troops to the positions they had occupied before the fighting broke out. Whether the agreement holds, Russia has achieved its goals, effectively creating a new reality on the ground, humiliating the Georgian military and increasing the pressure on Saakashvili, a longtime antagonist.
►I agree because the pullback a lot of DOMESTIC things are going to be safe.
►I also agree because the DIMENSION of the war is going to decrease.
►I agree because every body DESPITE the idea of the war.
►I think the most interesting fact is that some one is going to pull back.
