Today in the union tribune, I read that Hardcore fans of 30 Seconds to Mars aren't the only ones who want more of the band's music. Virgin Records has sued the group for $30 million, saying their HYPOTHESIS has failed to deliver. Virgin Records sued the band and front man Jared Leto in Los Angeles on Friday, claiming they refused to EMERGE three albums as required by its contract. The band's last album, A Beautiful Lie, was released in 2005. A publicist for Leto, an actor who starred in the film Requiem for a Dream and the TV show My So-Called Life, did not return a message Friday. According to the lawsuit, the band repudiated a 1999 contract in July. Despite the absence of a new album, the band's hit From Yesterday was IMPLICATED one of 2007's Top 10 Hot Modern Rock Songs by Billboard magazine.
I think that sucks for 30 seconds to mars but it has been a while since they came out with a new song, let alone a new album. I don’t want to say they deserve it but they kind of do because their contract said three albums from 1999. and they only came out with two albums. I thought their last album was pretty good but they do need to come out with some new stuff. They could have avoided this all by just coming out with one more record.

Today in the union tribune i read an article about police are trying to find a man who they said attacked a disc jockey after an altercation at a bar and cut the man's eyes out. Investigators said the DJ was attacked in the early-morning hours of July 5 near Starlite Café. Rescuers. Police found him in the neighborhood because someone driving by saw him lying in the street. They said right away they realized something was very wrong with man's eyes. the DJ had life-threatening injuries and both of his eyes were protruding from his face. Friends of the victim. the man who loved playing music in the bar now has to rely on his hearing because the attack left him blind. The DJ continues to recover from his injuries. A benefit concert to help defray his medical bills is scheduled for 7 p.m. Saturday at the Starlite Café on Park Street

The article I read this morning was about an SDSU drug case that happened about 3 months ago. There was lot of defendants. A defendant who barely got his sentence was Thomas Watanapun. The police raided the apartments of where the students in SDSU live at. They found guns and bags of marijuana. They also found cocaine and ecstasy. The police raided the apartments on May 6th. Some of the defendants did not receive citations or there cases were dismissed.
I think that drugs are a big problem in the whole world now n’ days. What I don’t understand was why they didn’t charge some of the defendants. I think that all of them should of gotten at least something like probation or so.
An interesting fact that I read in the article was that it was dozen of defendants and not all of them got charged.

Today in the Union-Tribune today I read about the Bengals’ Chad Johnson injured his left shoulder. Suddenly, the Cincinnati Bengals need help offense. Pro Bowl receiver Chad Johnson strained his left shoulder last night during the Detroit Lions’ 27-10 victory over the host Bengals, who now have their top two receivers and their starting tailback limited by injuries. Johnson landed awkwardly on his left side after cornerback Brian Kelly intercepted a pass thrown his way on Cincinnati’s first series. Chad Johnson is one of the players in the league that I enjoy watching playing the game. He just have great potential and he is a great entertainer.

Today I read about the Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt prepared for the men's 100 meter final by waking up about 11 am he watched TV for a while in his room at the athletes village then went down stairs and ate some chicken nuggets at McDonalds. He returned to his room took a three hours nap woke up and ate some more chicken nuggets then bolts said I came to the track where he took the 100 meters into a new galaxy into a completely new dimension. What is so stunning about Bolts he is the youngest Olympic champion sine American Bob Hayes in 1964.
Reflection- I think that is was very good reward to win a gold medal and being the youngest medal winner I think that’s the ultimate prize a person can have.
Interesting Fact- the youngest Olympic champion sine American Bob Hayes in 1964.
