Today in the union tribune, I read that At 14, Andrew Busskohl got a second chance at life when he underwent a heart transplant. But four years later, neighbors have more fear than compassion for him. Busskohl, 18, has been charged with two felony counts relating to a break-in attempt. But police say he was up to something more sinister: a murder plot that involved cutting out the victim's heart or slicing off his eyelids. Busskohl posted $100,000 bail on condition he undergo psychological evaluation. He's living with his mother and brother in the same neighborhood where authorities say he had planned to carry out his attack. As condition of his release, he is allowed to leave the Woodbury, Minnesota, home only for medical, psychological and legal appointments. Defense attorney Joe Friedberg says his client is a threat to no one and that his medications affected his mood. Busskohl has been charged with one count of first-degree attempted burglary with a dangerous weapon and one count of aggravated harassment with a dangerous weapon. Busskohl's release has sent shockwaves through this quiet Minneapolis suburb of about 50,000 people. Residents say they survey their homes before entering, secure their windows and check behind curtains and other household items once inside. Once rarely used, alarm systems now are on constantly.
In today's article I read that Hilary Duff's father has emerged from prison just a day after he was jailed over a implicate court row with his estranged wife over their famous daughter's 21st birthday party. Bob Duff was released from a Texas jail on Thursday after being ordered to spend up to 10 days in there for contempt of court and pay $12,500 to his ex-wife for the star's 21st birthday party and a present. Susan and Bob Duff are currently in the middle of a two and a half year divorce battle. Duff was also ordered to pay the $367,537 he earned from selling stocks in July into a court repository. I think that they should keep him for some time because when I committed a crime I did 2 months in juvenile hall. I feel that they released him because he is famous and has money that’s my hypothesis.
Today I read about a man and a juvenile that are facing trial in a boys stabbing death. They are standing trial in the April slaying of a 17 year old Escondido boy. Aldan Valdez 27, and Irwin Valdez 16, are both charged with one felony count of murder and two felony counts of assault with a deadly weapon. The slaying is believed to be gang related. There is still another suspect at large Adolfo Salazar that was also involved in the slaying.
Interesting Facts-The victim Gerardo Daniel Medina died from multiple stab wounds.
My Opinion- I think that was scandalous that he got killed.
