PITTSBURGH, Pennsylvania (CNN) -- A baby boy police believe was deliberately cut from his mother's womb was released from a Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, hospital on Wednesday, a spokeswoman told CNN.
Authorities say Kia Johnson was found tied up in a Pennsylvania apartment with her uterus opened.
1 of 2 The infant was released from West Penn Hospital, Stephanie Waite told CNN, but she would not say who was given custody of him. Officials previously had said he would be released to child welfare workers.
Authorities said they believe the baby's mother, Kia Johnson, 18, was slain and the infant removed. Johnson's body was found Friday in an apartment belonging to Andrea Curry-Demus, 38, of Wilkinsburg, Pennsylvania.
Officials said Johnson had been dead for about two days, although the cause of her death remained undetermined. Her hands and feet were bound by duct tape, and her body had been partially eviscerated, with her uterus opened. A placenta was also found at the scene.
Curry-Demus has been charged with criminal homicide, kidnapping and unlawful restraint in Johnson's death.
Police said Curry-Demus brought the baby to West Penn Hospital by ambulance July 16, claiming it was hers. Tests showed that she had not given birth, and she later told a police officer she had paid $1,000 for the baby.
Drugs were found at the scene with Johnson's body, and officials said last week they are awaiting toxicology results to determine whether she had been sedated.
Medical Examiner Karl Williams said it was unclear whether Johnson was alive when the baby was taken.
Friends and relatives said Curry-Demus had told them for months she was pregnant, even having a baby shower.
The article I read today is about how women can make their sex drive better. Unlike men, there are no approved drugs to take. If you go strictly by the rules, the best medical science has to offer is counseling, or a device that applies suction to your clitoris, or physical therapy for your vagina. While not to diminish these choices, where's that convenient, little blue pill for women? That's what Joanne wanted to know. This isn't her real name, but she's a 26-year-old nurse at the Cleveland Clinic who felt no sex drive -- nothing, nada, zilch -- for eight years. She wasn't happy, and neither was her boyfriend. When Joanne asked her gynecologist for help, she told her to talk to her psychiatrist. Her psychiatrist said her antidepressants were to blame -- they're known to decrease libido in about a third to a half of women, experts say.
Title:Intoxicated Man on Bike is Injured After Running into SUV.
Story: The article I read today was about an apparently intoxicated man on a bicycle was seriously hurt Thursday when he swerved and rode into a sports utility vehicle in the Fairmount Village area. The 21-year-old man was riding his bike westbound in the 4500 block of University Avenue around 1 a.m. when he struck the right rear tire of a Ford Explorer also headed westbound. He fell to the ground and suffered serious head injuries that required hospitalization adding that the man was not wearing helmet at the time. The man had been drinking prior to the accident, the sergeant said. The driver of the Explorer, a 59-year-old woman, was not hurt, he said.
My opinion is that the man had took an adequate of alcohol if he was that stupid to run in to the car.
I think the attribute is that the guy should take rehab.
My opinion is I think that he shouldn’t of had been on the bike if he was drunk and it’s not an annual thing.
One interesting fact is don’t ever drink and try to handle a bike.
The article I read today is about smugglers tried to use hurricane dolly to try to pass About 9,600 pounds of marijuana was found buried under cotton seeds on a truck on U.S. 77 at the Border Patrol's Sarita checkpoint south of Kingsville, Texas, said Lloyd Easterling, a spokesman for Customs and Border Protection. The marijuana had a value of 8 million dollars. Dolly’s winds where at 100 mph winds and gusts up to 120 mph. It tore roofs from homes, flooded streets and sent residents near the coastal border of Texas and Mexico scrambling for safety.
They need ANNUAL inspections.
They should ATTRIBUTE new inspections.
they need to ADEQUATE new patrol.
Today in the CNN news i read, about a young 16 year old boy getting raped by two iraqi men. The gunmen snatched him off the streets of Baghdad, stuffed him in the trunk of a car and whisked him away to a house. But the real terror was about to begin.
The men realized he was gay, Kamal said, when he took his shirt off and they saw his chest was shaved.
"They told me to take off my clothes to rape me or they would kill me immediately. This moment was the worst moment in my life," he told CNN, weeping as he spoke of the 2005 ordeal.
"I was watching them taking off their clothes, preparing to rape me. I did not know what to do, so I started shouting loudly, 'Please do not do that! I will ask my family to give you whatever you want.'"
His pleas went unheeded. "The other two kidnappers took off my clothes by force and, at that time, I saw them as three dirty animals trying to tear my body apart."
He was held for 15 days, released only after his family paid a $1,500 ransom. He was raped every day. Only once, he said, was he allowed to talk to his family during captivity. "I told my family that I was beaten by them, but I did not dare to tell my family that I was raped by them. I could not say it, it's too much shame."
REFLECTION:EWWWWWWWWW that is so nasty and disgusting what are wrong with people these days. Those men should be locked up for making that little boy suffer for 15 days. Dang that just wrong they didn't have to do that to him why they couldn't go do it to each other, i feel bad for the little boy and what he went through, but good thing he's still alive.
Today on CNN I read an ADEQUATE article on black guys in America. This article was about a young black male named Anderson Cooper. I’m 5′ 11″ and 165 lbs. I don’t know many people who would look at me and think I played professional football. But, would you believe, a man thought it was more possible for me to be a professional football player than a college graduate with a successful career. I haven’t come in contact with a lot of blatant racism in my life. Yes, I’ve been called the N-word. To be honest, it never really upset me because as soon as that word comes out of someone’s mouth, I’m pretty sure that I’ve won the argument. That person has just confirmed how ignorant they are. Things like that happens ANNUAL and I don’t think it would stop in this place called America. I think racism is an ATTRIBUTE that some people develop at a young age. don’t necessarily consider most people racist. I have, however, seen a lot of racial bias. What I mean by that is people don’t hate me because of the color of my skin, but they simply don’t see me as an equal. One of the clearest examples of what I’m talking about is a simple incident at a car wash. I was a news anchor for three years at a station in the Bay Area in California. And when I lived there, I drove a big, white SUV. It had 22″ chrome wheels, dark-tinted windows, and a few personalized touches. It was hot! I would always wash my truck myself at one of those car washes with the pressurized hoses where you spray your vehicle down yourself. Of course, when I go wash my car, I don’t necessarily look like a news anchor. I look like a guy who’s washing his car. I wear sweats or shorts or jeans with holes, I wear tank tops or t-shirts, I might have on a bandanna or be wearing a baseball cap backwards. One day a man came over to me as I was washing my truck and said, “Man, I just gotta know. What do you guys do to have nice cars like that?” He asked did he play for the San Fansisco 49ers, why couldn’t he graduate from college with a degree??
“Qualcomm and Nokia make deal over fees”
►Today I read on the newspaper that Qualcomm resolved a nearly three-year, unprecedented challenge to its royalty-based business model yesterday when the world's largest phone maker, Nokia, agreed to cease hostilities and sign on the dotted line. which stopped making payments to Qualcomm in April 2007, agreed to pay the San Diego wireless technology company a lump sum along with licensing fees for 15 years. Nokia filed against Qualcomm at the European Commission. Other plaintiffs remain in the case. The deal covers not only technologies for the emerging third-generation, or 3G, phones but also for the fourth generation as well, Marchesani. Qualcomm's shares rose sharply in after-hours trading, first on speculation of a deal when the company delayed its afternoon earnings release and conference call with analysts. After the deal was announced, the stock traded at $53.20, up 18.7 percent from the close. It had risen 72 cents in regular trading.
►I don’t agree because I’m going to have less ACCESS to money.
►I also don’t agree because I don’t have VALID time for that.
►I don’t agree because I don’t have TECHNIQUES for that.
►I thing the most interesting fact is that they are just trying to take away or money.
