Today in the union tribune, I read that a deafening boom, plumes of smoke and debris raining from a downtown high rise. In the moments following an explosion yesterday afternoon at a san Diego hotel construction site, first responders and witnesses feared the blast was the handiwork of a serial bomber or terrorist. Officials immediately cordoned off the area around the Hilton san Diego bayfront hotel, and arson and bomb squad investigators were called to the scene. By evening authorities said the eruption was caused by natural gas that leaked inside the hotel. Fourteen people were injured, three critically and when the 2p.m. explosion knocked out the northern face of the fourth through the seventh floors of the 30-story building. Residents were as far away as point Loma felt the impact. The building, on harbor drive near the san Diego convention center, was scheduled to open in December. About 400 workers were inside the building when the explosion occurred. Nine injured construction workers were transported to the UCSD medical center burn unit. Three were placed into medically induced comas to receive treatments for burns that covered up more than 35% of their bodies.
kids fighting
Cage fighting is being excepted into are young kids minds. T the ages of 6 years old kids are beginning to fight and sprawl as if they were intimating there favorite cage fighter. Some people have APPLY there kids into boxing and jujitsu schools so they can learn how to fight instead of picking up books. A club for fighting are CONTRAST 6 years old to be fighting with other 6 years old. Unrelated LABOR say they call them human cockfighting. This is not only happening in the U.S. but in china this has swept the country the children make money for there families by fighting other people that are the same age as them the people feel that this is a sign of respect.
I think that this is probably scary for the kids that fight but they probably feel as if they are making the money for there families instead of working all day in the fields make hardly any money. Although kids in the U.S. are doing it for fun the kids around the world are doing it for there families. Some take there cage fighting very serious. Although people in the U.S. have better training facilities the other people do because they need to survive.
2 killed, 13 injured in prison yard fights
More than a dozen inmates attacked one another with makeshift weapons at the Oklahoma State Reformatory yesterday, leaving two dead and 13 others injured inn the melee. Fights broke out about 12:30 p.m. in recreation yards of two of the medium-security prison’s six housing units, most of the injured suffered cuts and stab wounds, and the entire incident was over in about five minutes.
My opinion about this article is it is not something new, it is always going to happen and you know you cant stop them.
Hawaii bounded plane has to turn around ….. In today's reading I read that a los angels airline had to fly Back from where it came from. It wasn't a terrors attack it was a electronic mistake. The plane was by Maui when the plane had to fly back to los angels.
Today in the union tribune I read an article about all the signs that are popping up meaning that its political times. Scott MacLaggan wants them to cool it with their political signs. He says that they know all the loopholes one Point Loma resident said. Campaign signs are an eye-catching, inexpensive way of promoting candidates. Carl DeMaio who is running for the san diego city council district 5 seat was videotaped chugging up a hill on property owned by his opponent, George George, and planting his signs next to a large george banner. The clip has been viewed more then 900 times on YouTube.

Defeated the New Orleans Hornets 91to 82 in a basketball game.

In New Orleans.
The play-off game and they were playing to earn a spot for the National Championship.
It was a good game, but the Spurs played better overall and wanted the victory more. Now they would start a series with the Los Angeles Lakers.
Manu Ginobili had 26 points.
Tim Duncan had 16 points and 14 rebounds.
Tony Parker had 17 points.
I think that the Spurs have a very good team this year and hope that they win the championship, because they have just working hard and playing solid basketball.

The story I read today was about seatbelt safety and how many people die in the U.S. for not wearing seatbelts. The NHTSA started to set up check points at night like from midnight till 3:00am in the morning. The reason they did the seatbelt safety was because a lot of adults, specially teenagers get into fatal accidents that cost them their life for not wearing seatbelts. The state of California had the highest number of fatal accidents followed by Texas.
