A sexually violent predator will ask a judge Tuesday for his release back into the community following years of treatment at a state mental hospital. Matthew Hedge, 45, was returned to Coalinga State Hospital for more treatment in January 2006 after violating the terms of his outpatient release. He had been allowed to live in a trailer outside the walls of Donovan State Prison in Otay Mesa after completing a multi-phase treatment program in November 2005 but was taken back to the hospital because state officials monitoring his movements said he talked with two girls at a treatment center, lied to the center's staff and had a deviant sexual fantasy about a child. Hedge was the first sexually violent predator released back into San Diego, where he committed his crimes. He was convicted in 1989 of molesting two boys and two girls and served his criminal sentence before entering the treatment program at the hospital.
My opinion about this article is the judge should not let the man out free because you don’t know what he’s capable of doing, and he had sexual fantasies about a child, so this guy is still crazy.

China

Another earthquake struck in China this time the earthquake claimed 10,000 lives and decide to destroy a lot of building. The earth quake struck next to Chengdu and changing the epicenter in the city was reduce to rumble as soon as the earthquake hit. The earthquake had a 7.9 magnitude when it struck. Today rescuers were searching for more survivors in the Chengdu. Many residences stood by there destroyed homes. That night as if things weren't even worse the rain came down on them as they lay in there tents hoping this situation that they were in would get better. The earthquake buried at least 900 students when the earthquake hit and claimed 50 from the high school. A high school in another city had a mishap as well a 1000 kids plus teachers were buried inside the rubble and some people took them for dead but everyone survived with minor injuries they pushed them selves out of the rubble and made it out a live in the rubble that was keeping them down.

Some of the towns people CRITIQUED the firemen on there response time and stated that it was a good reaction time. To look at the CONTRAST of this would be that the city next to them were unharmed. George Bush is trying to PERSUADE America to help China in there time of need.

Today in the Union Tribune I read about a man who stabbed repeatedly by his neighbor. The victim was stabbed 13 times while he was laying in his bed asleep. The man who did the stabbing convincing the victims roommate to let him into house to use the restroom. The neighbor suspected of the stabbing was identified as Chad Long. The victim was stabbed six times in the chest and seven times on his back. Chad Long got away that night but police are still looking for him.

I think the victim must of did something to Chad. Chad shouldn’t of taken actions in his own hands and just let it go.

Chad stabbed the victim after 3 a.m. in the morning.

The story I read today was about two robbers that had robbed a game stop and tied the clerk up. This happened in the morning when a guy went to the store an told the clerk that what time did they open and the clerk said that they open at 10:00am. Then the robber left and came back at ten with an accomplice. The first robber waited until the clerk was alone, then the robber asked for a specific game system and the clerk went into a storage room and the robber followed him and then he showed him the gun and his accomplice started to put tape on him and tie him up. Then the two robbers spent half an hour emptying out shelves with games on it until they left.

Today in the union tribune I read an article about the blackberry bold and the new iphone that’s coming out. Research in motion yesterday introduced its first major new blackberry model, which has quicker web browsing and more room for songs and videos. The bold matches the screen resolution, but not the size of the iphone, which has emerged as a potent competitor in the ‘smart phone’ category. It has much more internal memory than the blackberry curve, a glossy metallic look and adds corporate strength Wi-Fi capabilities. The phone will start selling at AT&T for $300 to $400 this summer in the united states. The product sets up a showdown between Apple and RIM in the market for so-called third generation phones

Today in the union tribune, I read that research in motion yesterday introduced it’s first major new BlackBerry model in more than a year- the bold, which has quicker web browsing and more room for songs and videos- getting a jump on a faster iPhone that analyst expect next month. The bold, or 9,000 matches the screen resolution, but not the size, of the Apple iPhone, which has emerged as a potent competitor in the smart phone category. It has much more internal memory than the BlackBerry curve, a glossy metallic look and adds corporate strength Wi-Fi capabilities to third generation cellular and the Bluetooth radios. Otherwise it stays close to the formula curve, with a horizontal screen above a trackball and a keyboard with one letter per key. The phone, which also has satellite navigation and a video camera, will start selling at AT&T for $300 to $400 this summer in the united states said James Balsillie, RIM’s co-chief executive. The product sets up a showdown between Apple and RIM in the market for so-called third-generation phones, which offer speedier web access and video downloads. Phones with internet, e-mail and video ate the fastest-growing part of the wireless market, with users quadrupling to 400million in the next three years, RBC capital markets estimates.

Man Stabbed

The article I read about today was talking about a man who was stabbed 13 times yesterday. The man was stabbed when his roommate let his neighbor in to use the bathroom. The 48 year old victim was asleep in his bed when he was attacked. The neighbor is suspected of stabbing him six times in the chest and seven times in the back. The man is identified as Chad Long age 30.
Interesting Facts- The victim was hospitalized and is expected to recover.
My opinion- I think that was scandalous to ask to use his bathroom and then stab him for no reason.

I think that the robbers might of done a perfect crime. I also think that they are not going to get caught. I think that they should have more security in the game store.
I learned that if I ever robbed a store I should tie the clerk up just so it could take him longer to call the cops. But I am not going to do that kind of mistake.

queen judge

Elizabeth Halverson, a Nevada judge, is being accused of misconduct and of treating the court staff as personal valets. Her former bailiff had accused her of treating him like a houseboy. Judge Elizabeth – who is obese and uses a motorized scooter to move around- made her former bailiff give her massages, put her shoes on because she couldn’t reach, cover her for her naps and made sure that her oxygen tank was filled. She even had the nerve to ask him if he wanted “to worship her from near or ?” Halverson hired guards because she no longer trusted the security force at the courthouse. She even called 911 when court administrators tried entering her office. Her conduct greatly CONTRASTS the normal and standard conduct that a judge must have. Her action have affected two cases that she was handling. She falls asleep during trial and has caused two mistrials in sexual assault cases. To her it seems that her colleagues and employees are just CRITIQUING her work and that she is totally fit and able to do the job. Her lawyers are trying to PERSUADE the court that she is doing her job accordingly to law and that she is not abusing her power.

Today in the San Diego Union Tribune I read about Menthol debate clouds tobacco bill, legislation exempts flavoring although risks are unclear. Some public health experts are questioning why menthol, the most widely used cigarette flavoring and the most popular cigarette choice among black people, is receiving special protection as Congress attempts to regulate tobacco for the first time. The legislation will CONTRAST which would give the U.S. food and drug administration the power to CRITIQUE tobacco products, to try to reduce smoking’s allure to young people by banning most flavored cigarettes including clove and cinnamon. But those strictures would exempt menthol even though menthol masks the harsh taste of cigarettes for beginners and may make it more difficult for the addicted to kick the habit. I think I would like to PERSUADE young smokers to stop smoking because it will cause serious health problems in the future. If the Congress would ban all tobacco factories and companies and make tobacco cigarettes illegal all addicts will go insane.
