Today in the union tribune, I read that the average price of gasoline rose nearly 10 cents over the past two weeks, according to a survey released Sunday. The survey showed that the average price was a fraction of a cent under $4.10 a gallon, said survey publisher Trilby Lundberg. That was up 9.7 cents a gallon from when the survey was conducted two weeks ago, Lundberg said. The survey tallies prices at thousands of gas stations across the country. Meanwhile, a daily survey released Sunday by motorist group AAA showed that prices at up to 100,000 service stations had held steady at $4.07 from the day before. The AAA survey recorded an all-time high of $4.08 on Monday, June 16. The cost of gasoline remains a heavy burden for drivers: The national average is more than a dollar higher than it was a year ago. According to AAA, drivers in 30 states and the District of Columbia are paying an average of at least $4 a gallon. The most expensive gas is in California, with an average per-gallon price of $4.60. The state with the lowest gas prices is Oklahoma, where a gallon averages $3.82. The survey also showed the national average price of diesel fell to $4.77 a gallon from $4.78 the day before.

“Saudis willing to increase oil production”
►What I read today was that Facing strong U.S. pressure and global dismay over oil prices, Saudi Arabia said yesterday it will produce more crude this year if the market needs it. But the vague pledge fell far short of U.S. hopes for a specific increase and may do little to lower prices immediately. Saudi Arabia – the world's top crude oil exporter – called the energy summit to send a message that it, too, is concerned by high oil prices inflicting economic pain worldwide. Instead, the meeting highlighted the sharp disagreement between producers such as Saudi Arabia and consuming countries such as Britain and the United States over the core factors driving steep price hikes. Oil closed near $135 a barrel Friday – almost double the price a year ago. Oil prices held steady today in overseas markets. The United States and other nations argue that oil production has not kept up with increasing demand, especially from China, India and the Middle East. But Saudi Arabia and other OPEC countries say there is no shortage of oil and blame financial speculation and the falling U.S. dollar.
►I agree because this people CONVENED to talk about it.
►I agree because it could NEGATE the inflation.
►In the other hand in my PHILOSOPHY it is going to increase pollution in some way.
►I thing the most interesting fact is that they are trying to increase the production of oil.

Today I read in the union tribune about Carlin, who had a history of heart trouble, died of heart failure Sunday, according to publicist Jeff Abraham. Carlin went to St. John's Health Center in Santa Monica on Sunday afternoon, complaining of chest pain, and died at 5:55 p.m. PT.Carlin performed as recently as last weekend at the Orleans Casino and Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada, and maintained a busy performing schedule, which included regular TV specials for HBO. He was a genius and I will miss him dearly Jack Burns, who was the other half of a comedy duo with Carlin in the early 1960s, told The Associated Press.Carlin was "a hugely influential force in stand-up comedy. He had an amazing mind, and his humor was brave, and always challenging us to look at ourselves and question our belief systems, while being incredibly entertaining. He was one of the greats," actor and comedian Ben Stiller told the AP.Carlin was often quoted, his best lines traded like baseball cards. Have you ever noticed that anybody driving slower than you is an idiot, and anyone going faster than you is a maniac began one famous routine. Another pointed out the differences between the pastoral game of baseball and the militaristic game of football Baseball is played on a diamond, in a park. The baseball park Football is played on a gridiron, in a stadium, sometimes called Soldier Field or War Memorial Stadium.
i think that what they did to carlin was bad because he had heart problems and they shoulden t of hade done that.

In the news paper today, I read about a Helix High School business teacher has resigned after being accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a female student. A Helix geography teacher has been accused of having sex with the same girl, now an 18-year old graduate, when she was a student at the school. Four teachers at the East County charter school have been accused of sex related crimes involving students in the past 18 months. I think that the teachers who committed those crimes should do some serious time incarcerated. I feel that I never done nothing worse than that and still is look at as a “bad guy.”

The article I read today is about school lunch prices are going up the school district throughout the county raise lunch prices to meet the skyrocketing costs of groceries and gas. San Diego to Escondido school cafeterias will begin charging more for lunch and breakfast. The food has went up 17 percent in 2007 southern California is nearly 40 percent higher than it was at this time last year and 93 percent higher than the 2005. the price of gas has gone up 40 percent and its ruining our economy.
I think they should lower the prices because everything is going up.
Everything is going up and they should at least lower the price of food.

The article I read today was about a woman accused of posing as an abortion doctor. The 48 year old woman allegedly had began performing abortions while pretending to be a doctor at Clinica Medica De La Mujer in Chula Vista. Bertha Pinedo Bugarin was arrested and charged with 10 felonies and one misdemeanor. She had posed as a medical doctor to unsuspecting Spanish speaking patients in the south bay charging 500 dollars for abortions. Burgarin also operated five other abortion clinics in southern California.
Intersting facts- The charges include performing medical procedures without a license and grand theft. If convicted she could face up to nine years in prison.
My opinion- I think that the clinics should do a better background check to see who they are hiring.

Today I read about a teen soccer player that pays his dues in pursuit of soccer dreams. His name is Omar Becerra he dropped out of point Loma high as a sophomore. Playing on the Chivas USA under-18 club team starting sweeper. He goes to LA 3 times a week for practice for his soccer team while he lives in san Diego. He also has a 17 year old girl friend with a baby daughter. Omar never go's anywhere with his daughter and his girl. Sometimes she get frustrated but also she understands and its better for their future. Omar is trying his best to pursuit his soccer dreams and spend as much time as possible with his family but its hard when u have 3 girls on your mind and when your mom has cancer he also says some times he wants to quit and spend time with his family because of his mom.
Refection- I think its hard for him because he has so much on his shoulders and its also really hard to accomplish something like a soccer player in the united states.
Interesting fact- He goes to LA 3 times a week for practice for his soccer team while he lives in san Diego
