Today in the union tribune, I read that Bo Diddly, a founding father of rock n’ roll, an unsung pioneer or rap and one of the most influential musicians of the past 50 years, died yesterday morning from heart failure at his Florida home, outside Gainesville. He was 79, and over the past 13 months he had suffered a stroke and a heart attack that prevented him from performing the rhythmically charged music long with his synonymous music with his name. born Ellas Otha Bates on Dec 30, 1928, in McComb, Miss., Diddly was a 1987 rock n’ roll hall of fame inductee and a 1998 Grammy award hall of fame honoree. Sadly, with just one top 40 hit to his credit- 1959’s say man- he never matched the multiple recording success of fellow rock pioneers Chuck Berry, Little Richard, and fats Domino. But Diddly was a vital singer, songwriter, guitarist, and band leader who performed regularly until he suffered a stroke during a concert in may 2007 in council bluffs Iowa. He inspired several generation of rockers, past and present, from buddy holly, Bruce Springsteen and patty smith, to bands such as the rolling stones, the who, the stooges and the clash.

The article I read today is about an explosion that was caused by a gas leak Monday tore through seven Flores at the San Diego Bayfront Hilton, under construction on harbor drive. The explosion injured 13 workers, 3 critically burned over 40 percent of there body. The explosion happened when flames from a water heater or an electrical spark ignited natural gas that had been leaking into the mechanical room on the buildings 5th floor. Hensel Phelps construction co is building the 30-story, $350 million in hotel fees.
I think that sucks
They need more safety.
Safety first.

Today I read in the newspaper about Judge Vincent Gaughan rejected arguments from Chicago Sun-Times lawyers that music critic Jim DeRogatis' rights as a reporter would be violated if he were ordered to testify. The judge said DeRogatis wasn't asked to appear "as a reporter" but "as a material witness to a crime."Gaughan said Tuesday morning that he would consider ordering DeRogatis' arrest, but later only issued a new order for him to be in court Wednesday. DeRogatis received a sex tape in 2002, then turned it over to authorities. Prosecutors say the 27-minunte tape shows Kelly having sex with an underage girl and have charged him with child pornography .A visibly angry Gaughan clashed with Sun-Times attorney Damon Dunn on Tuesday, saying he didn't accept that Illinois law granted DeRogatis a reporter's privilege not to appear while the issue was under appeal. "I think you're making a little of Illinois law up today," he told Dunn.
I think that what r Kelly did was bad because he shouldn’t be molesting smaller kids and trying to be like Michelle Jackson.

“Obama secures nomination ”
►Today I read that Before a cheering SIMILAR audience in St. Paul, Minn., the first-term senator from Illinois savored what once seemed an unlikely outcome to the Democratic race with a nod to the marathon that was ending and to what will be another hard-fought battle, against presumptive Republican nominee Sen. John McCain. “Tonight SECTION, we mark the end of one historic journey with the beginning of another – a journey that will bring a new and better day to America,” he said, as the emotion of the moment showed on his face. “Because of you, tonight I can stand before you and say that I will be the Democratic nominee for president of the United States of America.” Obama's success marked a major milestone for the nation – a sign of the racial progress that has taken place during the span of the 46-year-old senator's lifetime. But the nomination THEORY battle also revealed a racial schism within the Democratic Party, as well as potential resistance to a black candidate in some parts of the country that will play out in the general-election campaign Barrack Obama and Hillary Rodham Clinton, go to uniontrib.com/more/demtext Obama's victory was notable not simply for its historic importance, but also because it marked a rejection, albeit by the narrowest of margins, of a candidate from one of the most powerful families in Democratic politics. Clinton's defeat seemed almost inconceivable a year ago as the race was beginning to unfold, but Obama and his advisers proved equal to the challenge.
►I agree because they are competing fairly.
►I also agree because I think they are doing good.
►In the other hand they are doing too much scandal.
►I think the most interesting fact is that they still competing with we each other.

Reggie Bush former USC running back is still going through the case of a lawsuit from Lloyd Lake. SIMILAR to Micheal Vick with NFL athletes with lawsuits. Lloyd is suing Bush and his parents, seeking almost $300,000 he said he gave to them in cash and goods while Bush was at USC. The SECTION in the news paper stated,” Lloyd have missed two trials and they don’t think he coming to the next court date scheduled.” My theory is Reggie Bush is one of the talented athletes in the league and would get through this case successfully .

A boy named Michael Pittman killed his grandparents 3 years ago. Recently he went to appeal and the supreme court over turned this. They are arguing that he was on heavy doses of antidepressants and that the sentence was to tough. One night while his grandparents were sleeping he shot his kids with a shotgun. Then he proceed to set the house on fire. When the police came they found Michaels standing outside the house. The police took him into custody. Three years he was sentenced to 30 years to life in prison. Pittman is now 6foot 2 and received his equivalent to a GED. He works at a adult facility as a janitor. There saying that the medication he took THEORY bad with his system and had a anger outburst. He INITIAL stated that he did not shoot his grandparents but later he said he did. To SMILIAR for what he did he was sentenced for 30 years. His defendants tried to get the sentence reduced. He has already has spent 3 years in prison.

I think that this is a strategy I also think that he should get a little mercy. Even if he did kill his grandparents. He probably went crazy with all that different doses of drugs in his system. He has already done 3 years of his life. I think he should just get probation for 3 more years and that is it. This SECTION is to sad to think about

A former student who was convicted of making false bomb threats that disrupted activities at Palomar College last fall is scheduled to be sentenced in a Vista courtroom Wednesday. William Morris Hall II, 37, was convicted May 7 of six felony counts. Investigators said the threats were received by phone on Sept. 13, Sept. 19 and Oct. 18, 2007, according to Palomar College police. Hall was arrested at his San Marcos home last November. The threats resulted in a number of evacuations, including at the college's child development center. No bombs were found during the searches that followed each threat. At the time, Hall was employed by a subcontractor that provides food service to Palomar College.
My opinion about this article is how can you make the bomb threats and then get caught you just should of thought of not even doing it. That person should not deserve to get out from jail, or where ever he is.

Today iin the union tribune I read an article about a 10 million dollar donation to SDSU. The wife of a former dean has donated $10 million toward SDSU school of accountancy. The gift, one of the largest in university history, was made by Gertrude lamden in honor of her late husband, Charles W. lamden, the first dean of SDSU’s college of business administration. This is the largest donation since SDSU launched its first university-wide campaign in july. The seven year campaign has generated $85 million in donations.

Today I read about the soccer game that will be happening to night at Qualcoom stadium. The two rivals are Mexico and Argentina are similar. Last year on the world cup Argentina beat Mexico 2-1and kicked of Mexico out of the world cup. The game is going to be a sold out event and mi think ticket master has a few tickets aside that they will be selling today at 10am. Also Argentina is rank number 1 in FIFA world rankings. Yesterday Argentina had there first practice in Mira mesa by the navel base they also brought all there star players so I am pretty sure its going to be a very good game. Mexico on the other hand I think is going to win.
Reflection- I think this is going to be a very but I mean very good game and plus every section of the game is sold out.

The article I read today was about the Lakers and Celtics game that’s bout to go down this Saturday. The media asked Phill Jackson if he was going to have magic come and talk to the team he said no cause he thinks there a good enough team and they been doing a lot of practice. When it comes down to the game its self, who's going to get play time who’s going to get who. It would be a good match up against pierce and Bryant and that would put Odem on Garnett. Vujacic would take out the sharp shooters like ray Allen. If that happens it would be a good 7 games

What I learn about this article that I read today was that in Mexico the drug cartels keep on growing and there number of murders keep on increasing. And the governor theory is to catch the drug Traficant's that are bringing all of the drugs to the US. Also the president Bush gave Mexico $ 1.4 billion. So that Mexico could get a section of solders to fight the drug cartels. The president is helping México because they need there help in order to stop the drugs from coming to the US.

He was sentenced to 26 years and eight months in prison on Monday. The guy that committed the murder was sentenced to 25 to life plus another ten years in prison. The accomplice has agreed to testify against his partner for the murder.

Today in the San Diego Union Tribune I read about AIDS and how nearly 1 million people began life-prolonging drug treatment in developing countries last year. The bad news, 2.5 million people were newly infected with HIV. As new infections continue to far outstrip efforts to treat the sick, the United Nations released a progress report yesterday that highlighted both the notable gains in combating the AIDS epidemic and daunting scale of what remains to be done. UNAIDS and the world Health Organization, two U.N. agencies, initially had set a 2005 deadline for getting 3 million people receiving anti-retroviral therapy rose by 54 percent. That less than one-third of those believed to need the treatment. I think this is sad and I also think that the government did something crazy and started AIDS because its so weird how it’s the only disease that doesn’t have a back track and it is highly contagious and there is no cure.
