New Rochelle Sgt. David Rodriguez pleaded not guilty to forcible rape, agreed to an order of protection keeping him away from the teenager and posted $25,000 bail. If convicted, he could be sentenced to up to 25 years in prison. Rodriguez did not speak after the arraignment, but his attorney Stephen Worth said the charge was false and the investigation was slipshod. He said the girl "has a number of motives to make up a false allegation," but he did not elaborate. The sergeant's wife, Darlene Rodriguez, anchorwoman of WNBC-TV's "Today in New York," was in tears outside the courtroom before the arraignment. She left the courthouse dry-eyed with her husband and said, "I'm here to support my husband. I believe in him. I love him. He's innocent 100 percent." Police Commissioner Patrick Carroll said the investigation was thorough. "We took our time," he said. "We didn't jump to any conclusions. "Carroll had announced the rape allegation, without naming David Rodriguez, more than a month ago and suspended him with pay. Rodriguez, 36, of Croton-on-Hudson, was suspended without pay Wednesday.
I feel that if they would have CONDUCTED a better interview they would found more evidence to convict him. The ADMINSTRERED some help for the cast men but other than that he got off. The ELEMENT that the police officer was in was not that good.
Today in the union tribune I read an article about a 2-year old boy who got struck by a SUV. The boy was only two years old. A neighbor accidentally ran over the toddler about 2:40 p.m. Tuesday. The driver and the boy’s mother didn’t see him run into the street plus adding that the neighbor wasn’t cited. The county medical examiner’s office said the boy died at Rady Children's Hospital about an hour later after being hit. The accident happened near Lemon Leaf Drive and Phoebe Place.
Fewer Latinos send money home to family.
In Washington, fewer immigrants from Latin America are regularly sending money to their home countries because of the slumping U.S. economy and a growing anti-immigrant climate, according to a survey released yesterday. Growing numbers of Latino Americans are also leaving the United States, the inter American Development Bank reported in a survey of 5,000 legal and illegal immigrants from Latin America.
My opinion about this article is why should people go back to their country for not sending money you can just go look for another job and your good.
A former fugitive is now drawing a lot of sympathy. The arrest came after nearly 32 years on the “lam”. The fugitive came 32 years ago to Orange County with only 32 dollars in her pockets. The ex-fugitive recently lived in a nearly 2,000,000 dollar home in an upper class neighborhood of Carmel Valley with her husband and three children. Marie Walsh formerly known as Susan LeFevre a fugitive wanted for escaping a prison in Michigan. She has an executive husband and three grown children, and lives in a spacious home in a million dollar community and had a lot in common with her neighbors. Its one of the reasons many people on her side.
Reflection: I think its sucks that Mrs. Walsh got caught up.
Reflection: If she turned her life around she should be given another chance in society.
Reflection: I believe that when she committed the crimes she did it was because she was a young lady trying to make it in a tough world.
My Opinion: In my opinion she should be free and should be reunited with her family. She has committed no other crimes since escaping a Michigan prison 32 years ago and has become a good wife and a good person. This proves to society that criminals can change if they want to.
Today I read in the business section of the newspaper that About 60,000 people in the north country will receive a letter this week saying all of their doctors nurses and other employees from sharp mission park medical group will join Scripps mercy group as part of a sale effective by oct.1. sharp health care is selling the patients records they are also selling computer, furniture, and other physical assents. I think that its bad what they are doing to the families and people that are using that hospital its unfair for them because they are going to stay whit out health care and they are going to get sick and I think that they shouldn't do that and help the people think of the people for once in there life. I think that people should help other people intended of thinking of them self.
About 60,000 people are going to stay out of health care
To day I read about a a fugitive drawing for sympathy. She went by the name Susan LeFevre until she changed her identity as Marie Walsh. She has an executive for her husband, three grown daughters and a spacious home in a community of million- dallier houses. She has a lot in common with her Carmel Valley Neighbors. This is one of the reasons so many people are on her side in spite of the fugitives recent arrest. She used a pass to walk out of Michigan prison. The way she got in there was she was selling heroin to a secret cop about twice. The police thought she was a big time drug lord and all the people were dealing heroin were selling from her. When she got sent to jail and used a pass to get out and right after she got out she changed her identity so no one would notice. Until they were catching on after 30 years. Her husband says she is a very caring and a very good mother and wife. She is not like how she used to be she has a hard working job and working hard to get paid.
Reflection- It’s a good thing that they got there but not after 30 years that’s to long. But also if she changed and working hard now has a family she can have a second chance. If she not hurting the community anymore what's the use of her going back
Interesting Fact- She went by the name Susan LeFevre until she changed her identity as Marie Walsh
2 year old boy struck, killed by SUV identity. In to days reading I read that there was a young kid that got rand over by his next door nigh boor and curls bad. The young kid name was Derek silos he was rushed to ready children's hospital he was announced deed a hour later he got to the hospital. What I think about this is that the man that did this should get rand over…..
Today in the San Diego Union Tribune I read about China. China had broken up a child-labor ring that provided children from poor inland AREAS to work in booming coastal cities, acknowledging that severe labor abuses extended into the heart of its export economy. Authorities in southern Guangdong province, near Hong Kong, said they had made several arrests and had already saved more than 100 children from factories in the city of Dongguan, one of the country’s largest manufacturing centers for electronics and consumer goods sold around the world. The officials said they were INVESTIGATING reports that hundreds of other rural children had been lured or forced into captive, almost slave like conditions for minimal pay. They are being forced to work 300 hours a month for very little money. This world is so full of hate, think I am just going to go to mars, or just stay away from all this hatred.
=Carma=
In this mornings news paper I read about an escapee that was found many years later. A lady named Marie Walsh was caught last week after being on the run from the law. She was arrested in 1974 for selling heroin. She had only done one year of a 10-20 tear sentence. She escaped from a Michigan prison by just simply jumping a fence. She Immediately came to San Diego and started a better life. After 32 years on the run she was living perfectly and clean. She was living a million dollar house in a Carmel Valley home. She is now married and has three grown daughters. But her past had caught on to her. But some people say that her past shouldn’t affect her good and clean life style she is now living.
=This goes to show that everything in life has a prize and must be paid.
=I think that they should let her go since imprisonment is to teach someone a lesson and to pay the prize pf her actions and she proved to be rehabilitated with her clean life she is living.
=If her kids and her husband fight for her freedom she will be out in no time.
=Her husband and her have been married for 23 years.

I think that pollution is a world wide problem. to me pollution is a big deal. i think that pollution is more of an issue than war and other world problems. pollution is that biggest cause contributing to global warming. you may have heard of global warming. it seems that in the last 100 years, the earths temperature has increased about a half degree celsius. that may not sound like much, but even haf a degree can have a big degree can have a big affect on our planet. according to the U.S.environmental protection agency (EPA). the sea level has risen about 6 to 8 inches in the last 100 years. mostly caused by human's. animals don't pollutethe earth, they can't. the three basic types of pollutions are air, water, and land pollution. deforestation is part of of land pollution and also a big problem around the world. for the establishments of factories, industries and due to urbanzation in various partsof theworl, trees are cut on a large scale without any advocate efforts to plant new trees. this leads to deforestation, which dosen't really have a big affect on pollution, but the removable ofsignificant areas of forests cover has resulted in a degraded environment with reduced biodiversity. polluted rivers are also a big problem, but its not just rivers, the ocean is getting polluted as well. pollution in the ocean directly affects ocean organisms and indirectly affects human health and resources by being contaminated. oil spills, toxic wastes, anddumping of other harmful materials are all major sources of pollution in the ocean. i think the last one has abig affect on everything, air pollution. air pollution is the numberone thing that contributes the most to global warming. global warming to me is the biggest contribution toending the human civilization. i want to help the earth, but me alone is not going to make a difference. i need all the of support, help andmoney. thebest way to conserve energy and slow global warming. the best way to conserve energy andslow global warming is to raisethe price on carbon emissions. i mean is it really hard to save up for a Toyota hybrid? i've seen the price'sgo up on carbon emissions andthere is going to be a strike on may 2nd. even if the worldcan stabilize or reduce the amount on carbon emission. some observers think the curent levels of carbon dioxide are so high that the earth will continue to warm. unfortunately, the pessmists couldbe right, the heating of the soil andtundra increases the actual microorganisms, which further increases C02, and the melting ofthe icecaps reduces theearth's reflective proporties which ward off some of the suns rays. ironically as we reduce the amount in the atmosphere, we also increase the suns power to warm the earth. i still think that we can save the earth and its not gonna be easy. this process will take many years to completethe ending of global warming. i hope someone will read this andtake this into prospective.
