The article I read today was about a deputy that watched T.V while an inmate got beaten to death. A report that came out saying that it pointed to systemic problems and abuses by deputies at Theo Lacy Jail .The country board of supervisor is in the process of creating an office of independent review to oversee the problems with the Sheriffs Department. No sheriffs or deputy has been arrested although some just left the department.

Wooden footbridge destroyed in Utah.
In salt lake city a 92-year-old wooden suspension bridge across the Colorado rover near Moab was destroyed by a fire that began with a boy playing matches. All that remained yesterday were charred scraps of wood and steel cables dragging in the current. Dewey bridge, about 30 miles northeast of Moab, was in the path of a fire that crawled up the riverbank Sunday from a campground about a quarter-mile away, Dewey bridge was built in 1916 it was well-known footbridge and part of a bike route.
My opinion is what parent would let the child to go play with matches in the night.
He could of lit the whole camp ground.
The 92 year old bridge was going to fall anyways

=Attempt robery=
This mornings article was about an attempted robbery in Chula Vista. A park ranger was on duty and doing his job. As the ranger started to close the bathroom doors closed he was assaulted. At about 9.30pm he was approached by an African American boy. The boy demanded money from the park ranger. After the ranger had told him he didn’t have money he proceeded to search him. The boy found a cell phone but decided he did not want it. The boy then shoved the ranger to a near by fence in the park.

=This type of scenarios have been happening a lot lately and usually at night.

=The park rangers should be in pairs or armed, at least when they work at night to avoid such things.

=The robber seemed like he was just looking for trouble or adrenaline rush.

=This had happened near Teal Street and Skylark Way.

In Eldorado, Texas Child Protection Services are investigating what they believe to be the biggest “child-welfare” case in Texas history. More than 400 children mostly females were taken into state custody from a polygamist sect. The days long raid which began last Thursday on a compound built by now jailed polygamist leader Warren Jeffs began due to a 16-year old’s call to authorities stating she was being abused and that girls as young as 14 and 15 were being forced into marriages with men much older. State Trooper’s held an unknown number of men in custody until they finished a house by house search of the 1,700 acre property. The girl who made the call’s identity has yet to be discovered.
Reflection: I think its crazy that no one ever left that compound.
Reflection: Its scandalous that they made girls get married to people against their will.
Reflection: I don’t understand why old men would want to get married and have kids with little girls.
My Opinion: I think it was wrong for the polygamist people to have been doing what they did. I think all of the people involved in the case should face serious consequences.

Brushing aside the threat of a disruptive takeover battle that could batter its shaky stock, internet pioneer Yahoo yesterday reiterated it’s refusal to sell to Microsoft for less that 45 billion dollars. Yahoo’s defiance, spelled out in a letter to Microsoft chief executive Steve Ballmer, marked the latest twist in a tug of war pitting two high tech icons put trying to mount a more formidable challenge to online search and advertising leader Google. The increasingly tense struggle now appears to have reached a turning point after more than two months of mostly behind the scenes maneuvering. Analysis believe the two rivals will either broker a friendly transaction before the end of the month or wrestle for the allegiance of Yahoo’s share holders in a prickly showdown that could drag into the summer. Most people following the saga still seem to think Microsoft- the worlds richest tech company- holds the upper hand over Yahoo, which has been mired in a two year slump and unable so far to find an alternative deal that would trump Microsoft’s original deal for 44.6 billion dollars, or 31 dollars per share.

Today I read about a man who pleaded not guilty in the beating of two men. A 21 year old pleaded not guilty yesterday to severely beating of two men. One man was an Australian tourist and the other was a San Diego resident. The were two separate incidents in February in Ocean Beach. The mans name was Damian Maple. Damien was charged with two counts of torture, aggravated mayhem, assault with a deadly weapon, and battery. He being held at $1 million dollar bail.

I think he should of pleaded guilty. If he would of pleaded guilty I would be a lighter sentence. If he really did it he should of manned up to it.

He beat a man with a skateboard repeatedly.

♥ The article I read about this morning was about teenage criminals. The article talked about how the county will now be responsible for young teenagers who are incarcerated. A new law just passed that where ever the teenager is from, as in the county, that’s who is going to be held responsible for where there going to end up being incarcerated at. Hundreds of young teens are being expected to be moved in to a big jail. The youths that are being described as criminally sophisticated and violent. Those youths have previously failed in local programs after being convicted of crimes such as assault, kidnapping, or carjacking. They have been sent to state juvenile prisons as a last resort. All those teenagers are now coming home to counties that maybe good intentions.
♥ I think that what they are trying to do about the juveniles is good in some way because a lot of them get sent out far away. I know a lot of people that were locked up in a State Juvenile and they got sent out of the county. It sucks but I hope it will work.
♥ An interesting fact that I read was that young criminals no longer wards of the state, soon will be remanded to their home counties for incarceration.
