Today in the union tribune, I read that Police and residents in San Francisco's Outer Mission neighborhood were on edge after SFPD investigators identified a man killed in the area as the president of the San Francisco branch of the Hells Angels motorcycle club. The victim, 46-year-old Mark Guardado, was shot at about 10:30 p.m. outside a bar at 24th Street and Treat Avenue in the city's Mission District, police said. Authorities said Guardado was recently in Sonoma County court, facing felony charges in connection to an altercation in Petaluma last February. Police were investigating reports that Guardado was shot by a member of The Mongols, a rival motorcycle club. The Mongols are based in Southern California, but there are local chapters in Modesto and San Jose, authorities said. The Mongols and the Hells Angels clashed six years ago at Harrah's Casino in Laughlin, Nevada. The incident left three people dead. In response to Tuesday night's fatal shooting, there's been a heavy police presence as officers blanket the area. Police say they will continue to patrol the area in an effort to reassure residents they will remain safe despite worries of a possible war between the two motorcycle clubs. Residents of the Mission District tell KTVU they will remain on edge until the case is solved.
In today's article I read that Los Angeles City Council imply a $500,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of a serial killer believed responsible for 11 killings over the past two decades. The first known killing occurred in 1985 when Debra Jackson's body was found in a South LA alley. Three years later components of the crime where found, police determined that the gun used to kill Jackson was linked to seven other killings. .DNA evidence has since linked the killer to homicides in 2002 and 2003 and most recently a shooting death in January 2007.Investigators are poring through prison and jail records to screen prisoners with a violent history who were locked up during the break in the killings. Authorities also hope to search DNA databases to see if there are any possible matches to the killer's family members. I think they are excluding the fact that the killer might not have been lock up. I think that the police is not doing a good job.
The article I read this morning was about a 15 year old girl who is being implied with assault and murder. The 15 year old girl killed her mother with a claw hammer. The girl’s name is Heather Marie D’Aoust. The judge is charging her as an adult. If Heather gets convicted she could get 30 years to life in prison and I believe that they excluded the chance of parole. On October 6th is the preliminary hearing. Prosecutors are expected to show component evidence that Heather killed her mother. Her mother who wasn’t really Heather’s biological mother because she adopted her was identified as Rebecca D’Aoust who was 56 years old.
I believe that this girl is crazy. I wonder what was going thru her mind when she was killing her mother. Even though it was not her real biological mother I still believe that it is the worse thing someone can ever do in a life time.
An interesting fact that I read was that the girl has a history of psychological problems.
In today's news paper I learned that Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin electrified the Republican Convention last night, pitching herself as a champion of government reform, mocking Sen. Barack Obama as an elitist and belittling media criticism of her experience.
In a speech that served as her introduction to most of the nation after Sen. John McCain’s surprise decision to pick her as his vice presidential running mate, Palin pitched herself as the product of small-town America and laced her address with sarcastic digs at the Illinois Democrat.
In my opinion I don’t believe anything that the republicans do or say I'm with the democrats, I think Obama should be the next president from the U.S not McCain.
